Helsinki for a Week

At 11 o’clock a.m. we arrived at Tampere Airport and we met Dan. We left the aiport and at 1 o’clock a.m. we were already in Helsinki town. We stayed in AVA hotel (institute) where we stayed for six days. The Hotel was very good and clean.
We had only one flat divided into 3 little rooms with also one kitchen and 2 bathrooms. We were six people in that “Big Room” and the teachers had another flat divided too.
There was also a sauna room inside the Hotel, and we did that too!
In our days in Helsinki we spent a lot of time inside the Helpa school. There we had every day the breakfast and for five days we had the lunch too.
THE SCHOOL IS BEAUTIFUL! Their type of working looks like a real restaurant work. Here inside we prepared an Italian banquet. It was really a good experience!
We also visited the oldest city of Finland called Porvoo and an island called Suomenlinna, and of course the most important places of Helsinki city.
On Saturday afternoon we left Helsinki and we went to the airport.
We arrived at Bergamo airport at 11 o’clock p.m..
That was something about our beautiful week in Helsinki.

Finland Exchange

We remained in Finland for five days, in these days we went ice skating, to the Island Suommenlina and to the city of Poorvo, the second oldest city of Finland.
During our travel in Finland we discovered the city of Helsinki by bus; we saw the HELPA school and we met some students of this school. They were very hospitable, but we couldn’t stay at their houses, instead we stayed in the AVA Hotel.
One day we prepared the mise en place for the Italian menu; and next day we served the dishes in the Restaurant Kokki, the school’s restaurant.
We enjoyed ourselves in these days with the other students with shopping, walks and funny talk.
The exchange was wonderful and a lot of fun, the teachers were perfect and sincerely I’d like to return to Finland immediately.

MY EXPERIENCE IN HELSINKI

We arrived at Tampere airport at 11 o'clock, where we met Dan. After two hours we arrived in Helsinki and we visited "Helpa Institutte", the kitchens, the rooms, the bar and the school's market. At 14 o'clock we went to eat in the school's restaurant and when we finished we went to "AVA Intitutte", our Hotel.
Our flat was divided into three little rooms. There were one kitchen, and two small bathrooms too. On the other days we visited Suomenlinne (it is an island) and Porvoo.
Porvoo is a small old city near Helsinki. On the fourth day we prepared an Italian banquet with the Finnish students. This was a really beautiful experience! On saturday afternoon we left Helsinki for Tampere airport and after three hours we arrived in Bergamo airport at 23 o'clock.
